Principal Associate, Data Scientist - Bank Operations Data Science

About the role

The role is part of the Bank Operations Data Science team, building machine learning models to enhance internal capabilities such as Check/Document Reading, Anomaly Identification, Natural Language Processing of Calls, and operational forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver a product customers love
• Leverage a broad stack of technologies including Python, Snowflake, and more to analyze large datasets
• Develop machine learning models throughout the development lifecycle, from design to implementation
• Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders to align on business goals
• Collaborate with the call center operations team to improve call processing efficiency and customer service

Requirements

• Innovative and creative problem solver
• Technical proficiency in open-source languages and cloud computing platforms
• Statistical knowledge including model building, validation, and interpretation

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field with relevant experience
• Experience with AWS, Python, Scala, R, SQL, and machine learning
• Experience with LLMs and risk mitigation
• Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

Pay

Salary range for Principal Associate, Data Science in McLean, VA is $161,800 - $184,600 annually.
