Principal Architect Engineer (Mobile Engineer)

About the role

Remote contract position for a Principal Architect Engineer, requiring 12+ years of software engineering experience with significant tenure at the Staff/Principal level.

Mobile Platform Excellence

• Mobile architecture patterns
• Offline-first application design
• Performance optimization
• CI/CD pipelines and release engineering

Dual Native & Cross-Platform Mobile Stack

• Deep expertise in Swift/iOS and Kotlin/Android
• Experience with React Native or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)

Domain Mandate

Hands-on experience in Retail and E-commerce is strictly required to handle high-scale, mobile-first consumer interactions.

AI-Driven SDLC Leadership

• Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code)
• Mandate to define, scale, and govern AI-assisted development standards across teams

Distributed Systems Architecture

Designing and evolving large-scale backend interactions, including APIs, data pipelines, and event-driven architectures.

Cross-Organizational Influence

Strong leadership to drive technical alignment, mentor senior engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and collaborate across distributed product, security, and infrastructure teams without direct formal authority.
