Principal Architect - Data & AI

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Architect - Data & AI to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will guide the delivery approach for complex data and AI engagements, bringing together multiple technical disciplines into cohesive, execution-ready solutions. The Principal Architect will partner closely with consulting teams and project stakeholders to shape delivery strategy, reduce risk, and drive consistent outcomes across enterprise initiatives. A strong emphasis will be placed on building repeatable standards, improving practice capabilities, and using AI to enhance delivery effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery approach on large, multi-disciplinary data engagements
• Orchestrate unified solutions integrating various technical disciplines
• Own the structuring and sequencing of delivery work, including risk management
• Identify and mitigate delivery risks on projects
• Develop delivery excellence standards and reusable templates
• Assess and refine practice capabilities to ensure sustainable adoption
• Coach team members on technical delivery and consulting best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent professional experience
• 10+ years delivering enterprise data or AI solutions in a consulting environment
• Expert-level proficiency in one area: data engineering, visualization, or governance, with working knowledge in the others
• Experience developing and implementing delivery standards or frameworks
• Ability to lead technical delivery across multiple disciplines on complex projects
• Practical use of AI to enhance delivery processes, with documented improvements
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft data and AI tools
