Principal Architect

About the role

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for products with a focus on exceeding customer expectations, ensuring high quality, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the overall functional quality of the released product on all required platforms and mechanisms.
  • Understand complex products, solutions, and problems.
  • Create, document, and execute software designs, potentially involving significant re-architecture of important systems.
  • Define and coordinate implementation of wide-reaching impacts.
  • Act as a Technical Lead for projects spanning multiple products, recognized by customers as leaders in various areas.
  • Set the technical direction for more than one area of a product, solving complex technical problems sought after by others.
  • Guide junior engineers and work independently on complex projects with complete latitude for independent judgment.
  • Manage assigned projects, including defining scope, plans, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Research and maintain technical expertise in area of specialty, communicating status of all projects, tools, and environments.
  • Document all processes and procedures.

Requirements

Typically requires twenty or more years of experience and a master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge of programming in C++ language with object-oriented methodology.
  • Expert knowledge of Emulation compiler and technologies.
  • Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Expert knowledge of digital design concepts.
  • Experience working with large software development teams across many geographical locations.
  • Expert program and system development skills.
