Principal Architect AI Platform

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Architect AI Platform to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will shape the enterprise AI architecture strategy and provide technical governance for high-impact initiatives across the organization. You will drive alignment across engineering, platform, and business teams to ensure AI capabilities are scalable, coherent, and compliant within a regulated financial services environment. The position also includes evaluating emerging AI opportunities and mentoring senior technical leaders to strengthen architectural consistency and execution. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $112,200 – $209,000 annually Responsibilities Define and maintain the enterprise-wide target AI architecture Set architectural direction across multiple teams and disciplines Provide governance for major AI initiatives and review designs for alignment Own architectural coherence of the company's AI surfaces Lead assessments of emerging AI capabilities Partner with teams to align platform capabilities with architectural standards Mentor architects and principal engineers within the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Master's preferred 10+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, including significant time as a principal architect 3+ years of experience in AI/ML and GenAI architecture Experience in regulated industries, particularly financial services Proven ability to establish cross-team architectural authority and alignment Benefits Health insurance Tuition reimbursement Accident and life insurance Retirement savings plans Performance-based incentives and discretionary bonuses Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
