Principal Applied Scientist, Selling Partner Selection Success

The Selling Partner Selection Success org is looking for a Principal Applied Scientist to lead us on our mission to provide selection success support on Amazon, and empower sellers to grow their business and provide a great customer experience.

Key job responsibilities

• Drive and advocate technical vision that drives the significant business impact
• Use machine learning and AI techniques to create scalable seller-facing solutions
• Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of Amazon's historical business data to help automate and optimize key processes
• Design, development and evaluation of highly innovative models
• Work closely with software engineering teams to drive real-time model implementations and new feature creations

Basic Qualifications

• PhD in computer science, machine learning, engineering, or related fields
• 8+ years of applied research experience
• Experience translating real business problems into state-of-art production systems at scale
• Deep expertise and familiarity with the scientific foundation and latest development
• Excellent programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in building and scaling agentic AI applications in production
• A history of building and scaling world-class teams and mentoring senior ICs to achieve career breakthrough

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
