About the role

The Principal Applied AI Lead is responsible for bridging the gap between AI capabilities and Talent Acquisition teams, ensuring that AI is leveraged effectively to transform processes and improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

- Partner with TA teams to identify high-value AI and automation opportunities, distinguishing genuine leverage from novelty. - Develop a deep understanding of TA workflows, data landscapes, and strategic priorities to inform AI-driven improvements. - Design and build AI prototypes and automations, from problem scoping to stakeholder validation. - Use LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and automation tools to rapidly develop and test solutions without heavy engineering support. - Run structured pilots and tool evaluations with defined success criteria, measuring outcomes and governing the deployment process. - Translate validated prototypes into clear requirements and collaborate with engineering to move from proof-of-concept to production. - Author and maintain job descriptions for all TA AI agents, defining their responsibilities, decision rights, authorities, and escalation paths. - Establish and track performance metrics for each agent, driving continuous improvement through regular review cycles. - Serve as the human supervisor for AI agents in production, maintaining clear accountability for their training, integration, and escalation. - Build playbooks, workflow blueprints, and governance frameworks to enable scalable and repeatable AI adoption across TA. - Develop AI fluency among TA team members through hands-on sessions, shared examples, and clear frameworks for AI usage. - Collaborate with HR, Legal, and Compliance to ensure all AI deployments meet regulatory and accountability requirements.

Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, TA operations, or HR, with hands-on AI implementation. - Proven track record of building AI solutions using LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and automation platforms. - Experience in taking AI solutions from concept to production deployment, including navigating technical, organizational, and process challenges. - Strong process design skills, including governance frameworks, performance standards, and SOPs. - Ability to influence without authority, leveraging insight and delivered work to build credibility. - Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex AI concepts into plain language for TA leaders and operationalize fuzzy problems. - Comfortable working in ambiguous territory, with a focus on building scalable and repeatable AI solutions.
