Principal Antenna and Microwave Engineer

About the Role
We have an opportunity for a Principal Antenna and Microwave Engineer to design and test RF/microwave components, subsystems, and Active Electronically Steered Antennas (AESAs). The Antenna and Microwave Department delivers innovative, affordable phased-array antenna systems—including active/passive microwave components, radiators, radomes, and RF subassemblies—across all lifecycle phases of radar systems in worldwide deployments. The role offers on-the-job training, mentoring, and purposeful rotations.
Responsibilities
- Design RF/microwave components and phased-array applications.
- Integrate and test component- and system-level phased-array hardware.
- Travel to integration sites, customer facilities, and subcontractor locations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
- Experience in microwave/RF system, subsystem, and component analysis, design, and test.
- Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST, Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (Matlab).
Preferred Qualifications
- Background designing and testing analog CCAs (frequency conversion, automatic gain control, amplifier design, analog filters).
- Experience allocating and flowing down requirements from system to component level.
- Knowledge of cost estimating, budget, and schedule management.
- Strong academic background in Microwave Engineering, Microwave Systems, Electromagnetic Theory, and Radar Systems.
- Hands-on experience with microwave testing techniques (spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers, Vector Network Analyzers, Performance Network Analyzers).

Pay
The salary range for this role is $107,500 – $204,500 USD, commensurate with experience, location, and skills.
