About the Role

Join the Advanced Power Systems group within the Power and Energy business line as part of a team developing PMICs (Power Management Integrated Circuits) for automotive and industrial applications. The role involves architecting next-generation PMIC designs and leading them through development stages until production.

Key Challenges & Responsibilities

  • Define IC architecture and lead technical execution from design, verification, and validation of mixed-signal PMICs for automotive and industrial applications, ensuring deliverables meet performance, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
  • Create and maintain IC architecture based on product and system requirement specifications, partitioning it into subsystem and interface specifications for automotive and industrial power management solutions.
  • Lead analog design aspects of product development, including architecture definition, circuit implementation, and validation for high-performance PMICs.
  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits for DC-DC converters, including error amplifiers, voltage and current references, compensation networks, current sensing circuits, protection circuits, gate drivers, startup circuits, and power sequencing functions.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive and industrial standards, addressing power efficiency, robustness, functional safety, thermal performance, and long-term reliability.
  • Collaborate with digital, system, validation, and application teams to deliver scalable power management solutions for automotive and industrial customers.
  • Align with customers and product definers to set appropriate product targets for PMIC solutions.
  • Support test and quality teams during product development to ensure robust performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Work with team members to build design knowledge and continuously improve PMIC development methodologies.

Qualifications

  • MSEE required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the development of mixed-signal ICs, with at least 5 years as an architect or technical leader.
  • Familiarity with integrated circuit electronics, including device-level physics, analog systems, and transistor-level circuit design.
  • Experience with power management designs is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in DC-DC architecture and design.
  • Proficiency with Cadence design tools: Virtuoso, Spectre, AMS, etc.
  • Creative thinker with a broad perspective, capable of solving complex problems.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.
