Principal AI Governance Architect

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Business Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Translate security and compliance requirements into actionable controls for AI workloads
• Define and establish workload classifications and necessary controls
• Implement design patterns for data handling and client data segregation
• Create audit evidence patterns covering model interaction and operational events
• Design and establish patterns for security controls of AI applications and agents
• Develop governed knowledge patterns for data management and access control
• Partner with engineering teams to automate control and reporting processes

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in cloud security, governance engineering, and AI application monitoring
• Strong understanding of identity, network controls, and audit trails
• Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation and metadata governance
• Ability to translate policy and observability requirements into engineering controls
• Strong skills in software, data engineering, and automation
• Demonstrated practical use of AI tools for governance and analysis
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for standards and audit evidence

Pay

$190,000 – $265,000 annually
