Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable AI platforms from the ground up
- Design, build, and maintain AI infrastructure and systems
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and deployment strategies
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Manage large data sets and optimize code for performance
- Troubleshoot and performance-tune AI systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI capabilities
- Deploy models in production environments
Requirements
- Programming in Python, Java, or R
- Experience with AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn
- Knowledge of containerization tools including Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CosmosDB, Graph DBs, Redis)
- API development and integration (REST, API Gateways)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in large-scale data or AI projects
- Proven track record of building and maintaining AI or machine learning platforms
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Ability to travel approximately 10-20%
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to staying current with emerging AI and ML technologies
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with real-time and batch data processing tools like Spark, Databricks, Kafka, Snowflake
- Knowledge of NLP, reinforcement learning, generative AI, or autonomous systems
- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools
- Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
- Understanding of AI applications specific to the insurance industry
