Primary Therapist - School Based

About the role

As a Primary Therapist, your excellent communication and evaluation abilities greatly assist care providers in the assessment and treatment planning for patients with mental illness or those struggling with substance abuse. This position is in the Gates-Chili Central School District, supporting their middle and high school, occasionally additional support at an elementary school.

Responsibilities

• Provides initial and ongoing assessment, counseling and clinical intervention to a designated caseload.
• Provides individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
• Participates functionally as a member of an interdisciplinary team in coordination and delivery of patient care.
• Communicates with relevant internal and external care providers to complete ongoing assessment and to coordinate care.
• Participates in and incorporates professional supervision and ongoing education toward quality care.
• Completes all required documentation in a timely and comprehensive manner.
• Maintains a full caseload, meeting productivity requirements and seeks to keep the incidence of failed appointments to a minimum.
• Utilizes efficient computer skills for electronic documentation.
• Must obtain licensure or permit in a timely manner.
• Off-site and in-home delivery of services to clients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Human Services field required.
• New graduates: official transcript from accredited school or letter emailed directly from the school’s registrar’s office confirming program completion will be accepted upon graduation.
• Primary source education verification required within 90 days of start date.
• LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LCAT, LMFT license or permit required within 1 year of hire.
• Two (2) years of relevant experience preferred.

Pay

Pay Range $53,310.00 - $67,700.00
