The Role
The Primary Therapist is a minimum of a Master’s Level Clinician responsible for the individual and family therapy of specific clients, and group therapy for a group of clients. The therapist specializes in working with clients with eating disorders, is mature, flexible, and innovative, and brings a loving, positive attitude to our expert Clinical Team.
What You'll Do
- Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients.
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
- Create and update individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
- Meet with patients regularly to provide services and treatment, and to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Cook up and arrange for services needed for each individual client.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
- Conduct group therapy sessions according to program schedule.
- Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
- Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
- Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
- Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
- Communicates regularly with outpatient providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Attends weekly staff meetings to consult on individual cases.
- Attends weekly treatment team meetings to consult with clients about individual progress.
- Create weekly individualized therapeutic and experiential opportunities for clients and communicates them to patients.
- Conduct concurrent insurance reviews for individual clients.
- Engages in ongoing advocacy work for mental health parity.
- Engages in community-based speaking opportunities to increase eating disorder awareness.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
- Must be fully licensed and can work without supervision.
- Able to get licensure in other states when asked.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience treating clients with Eating Disorders.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of eating disorders, trauma, mental illness, and related issues.
- Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment, recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dually diagnosed populations.
- Understanding of diagnostic criteria for co-occurring conditions and ability to conceptualize modalities and placement criteria within the continuum of care.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into practice settings.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
- Must not be opted out of Medicare.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Must have reliable internet connection.
- Must be comfortable operating a computer and smart-phone and navigate applications within macOS and iOS.
- Must be comfortable communicating with colleagues via chat, telephone, and video calls.
- Must be able to sit for the majority of the shift.
- This is a work-from-home position. Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.

The Pay Range For This Role Is 70,000 - 105,000 USD per year(Remote (United States))
