About The Position
The District is seeking leave replacement positions at Cedar Way Elementary for the 2026-27 school year. Positions are non-continuing and include:
- Grade 2 Teacher (1.0 FTE): Full 2026-27 school year ONLY.
- Grade 3 Teacher (1.0 FTE): Start of the school year through February 26, 2027 ONLY.
- Grade 3 Teacher (.2 FTE): Full 2026-27 school year ONLY.
Preference will be given to candidates holding an ELL, ESOL, or Bilingual endorsement. SIOP and GLAD training will be required for all new employees, except those with prior completion of these trainings.
Required Qualifications
A Washington State Teaching Certificate with an Elementary Education endorsement, or the ability to obtain one prior to the position start date. A complete application includes a cover letter, resume, 2 confidential reference surveys, 2 letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
Pay & Benefits
Salary 2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, life, and AD+D insurance, along with options for HSAs, FSAs, and DCAPs. Most employees have access to additional supplemental benefits.
Physical Requirements/Demands: The role involves navigating various school and classroom environments, assisting students with physical support, and communicating regularly. Tasks may include manual work, reaching, bending, and moving objects up to 25 pounds.
