About the role

The Classroom Teacher at Prodeo Academy is a key member of a grade-level team dedicated to closing the opportunity gap. This role requires a deep focus on individual student growth, providing a warm, structured environment, and collaborating closely with the Principal and Grade Team Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Provides targeted instruction to students.
  • Collects, analyzes, and uses data to tailor instruction in small groups and individually.
  • Maintains a safe, welcoming, and high-standards classroom environment.
  • Adopts and internalizes curricula and effective instructional practices.
  • Manages and shares data regularly, participating in grade-level and data meetings.
  • Identifies and analyzes strengths and growth areas in classroom/grade level/schoolwide data.
  • Attends all professional development offered by Prodeo Academy.
  • Participates in Prodeo Academy’s coaching model and feedback cycle.
  • Shares resources, plans, and ideas openly with teammates.
  • Checks and responds to team and family communication within 24-48 business hours.
  • Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification/Licensure: Appropriate MN teaching license in (or ability to obtain).
  • Record of exemplary results with students.
  • Knowledge and application of assessment tools and data management.
  • Experience: Working in a K–8 urban public or charter school setting preferred.

  • Skills: Outstanding attention to detail, excellent organizational and planning skills, ability to multitask, build positive relationships, differentiate instruction, and support diverse learners.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to stand and move around the classroom for extended periods, sit at a desk, lift/push up to 25 lbs, engage in crisis intervention, and communicate clearly.
