Primary Care West Ridge Internal Medicine-LPN 2

Responsibilities

• Remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system.
• Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care.
• Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
• Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
• Performs direct patient care, administration of medication/vaccines, minor laboratory testing, and communication with patients and providers using EMR.
• Enjoys collaborating with others and is a self-starter and team-oriented.

Requirements

• At least 6 months in direct nursing care preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current NYS license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Pay

Compensation range: $26.75 - $36.11 per hour.
