About the role

We are seeking an entrepreneurial physician to lead the launch of a new Direct Primary Care practice focused on prevention, wellness, and exceptional relationship-based care. This is a unique opportunity to help reimagine primary care, build a practice from the ground up, and shape a model centered on whole-person health. Affiliated with ZoeRVA Health, an established behavioral health organization, the practice will benefit from operational support, referral network, and a collaborative ecosystem that values both physical and mental well-being. Ideal for a physician who wants the autonomy to build something meaningful while enjoying the stability and resources of an established healthcare organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services for a diverse patient population
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Deliver preventive care, screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling
  • Partner with behavioral health and specialty providers to coordinate care
  • Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
  • Help develop clinical workflows, care models, and patient experience standards
  • Monitor patient outcomes and satisfaction metrics
  • Maintain timely documentation and uphold the highest ethical and HIPAA standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to build systems that support long-term practice success and community impact

Requirements

  • Is passionate about prevention, wellness, and relationship-based care
  • Thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment
  • Values empathy, patient education, and shared decision-making
  • Enjoys helping patients make sustainable lifestyle changes
  • Is comfortable treating a broad range of acute and chronic conditions
  • Brings leadership, innovation, and a desire to shape the future of primary care
  • Wants a voice in designing how care is delivered rather than simply working within an established system

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Active Virginia medical license
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Med-Peds
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience (primary care preferred)
  • Lifestyle Medicine certification or strong interest in lifestyle-focused care preferred
