Primary Care Physician (FM) - Montoursville, PA (UPMC)

About the role

UPMC Primary Care is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join UPMC Primary Care – Montoursville, located at 900 Plaza Drive Suite A, Montoursville, PA 17754. This is a full-time, employed position in a nonprofit health system that is PSLF-eligible. The role offers 36 hours of patient-facing clinical time Monday through Friday with 4 hours of administrative time per week, a light call schedule taken from home, and no inpatient call. Easy referrals are available to social work, behavioral health, nutritionists, and UPMC’s network of specialists, and a team of administrative professionals handles practice operations. The position accepts H-1B visas.

Responsibilities

• Provide 36 hours per week of direct patient care Monday through Friday
• Complete 4 hours per week of administrative time
• Participate in a light call schedule taken from home (no inpatient call)
• Coordinate referrals to social work, behavioral health, nutritionists, and UPMC specialists
• Deliver patient-centered care in a compassionate, professional environment

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MD or DO)
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
• Board-certified in Family Medicine (or board-eligible for recent residency graduates)
• Unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA certification
• Commitment to patient-centered care and excellent interpersonal skills

Compensation

• Base salary with opportunity to earn additional productivity incentives
• $150,000 commencement bonus
• $100,000 retention bonus paid over 5 years (total $250,000 in bonuses)
