Primary Care Physician Assistant

About the role

The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for women aged 65+.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' acute and chronic conditions
• Manage medications, mental health, and social-emotional needs
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Collaborate with the care team to assess, plan, and provide personalized care
• Ensure adherence to quality standards aligned with the organization's values

Requirements

• Valid NP (FNP-C or AGNP) or PA (PA-C) license
• 3-5 years of experience managing complex diseases (e.g., diabetes, cardiovascular issues, osteoporosis)
• Experience with geriatric and women's health
• Poly-pharmacy management and physical/gynecological exams
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Knowledge of medical advancements
• Meet certification, licensing, vaccination, and legal requirements, including DEA and NPI credentialing
