Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with Care New England – Cranston, Rhode Island

About the role

Care New England is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner to join their established primary care practice in Cranston, Rhode Island. This role offers a collaborative team environment with strong support for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and preventive primary care to patients 18 and older, including health assessments, chronic disease management, and acute care visits
• Includes 32 hours of clinical work and 8 hours allocated for documentation, with rotational telephone call
• Treats 15 patients per day
• Utilizes EPIC throughout the Care New England Health System
• Collaborates care with access to a network of specialty physicians at Care New England
• Eligible for Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
• Embedded support includes:
• Integrated behavioral health, LICSW
• Health Helpers to address quality gaps
• 1:1 MA support
• Nurse Case Managers and Community Social Workers
• Pharmacy and pharmacy tech on site
• Virtual scribe
• RN triage program

Requirements

Must be board certified in Family Medicine or Primary Care NP

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current DEA prescription writing license
• Experience in primary care preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
