Primary Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Prima CARE is a 180-provider, physician-owned multispecialty group based in Fall River, Massachusetts, currently employing more than 70 advanced practice providers.
About the role
We are seeking a Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join the office practice of a Family Medicine physician for 32 weekday hours per week, with no nights or weekends. The APP will see adult and adolescent patients under physician supervision, assuming independent responsibility for patient care commensurate with experience, training, and confidence. Fluency in Portuguese is particularly valuable but not required.
The APP will be an employee of Prima CARE but will function as a member of an office-based, patient-focused team. The practice has full support from Prima CARE specialists and on-site testing facilities, including a full laboratory, radiology, cardiac and pulmonary testing, allergy, and infectious diseases.
Responsibilities
- Provide primary care to adult and adolescent patients under physician supervision
- Assume independent responsibility for patient care based on experience, training, and confidence
- Collaborate as part of a patient-focused team
Requirements
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) certificate
- Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration
- Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills
Experience is desirable, but we will consider recent graduates with a strong background and the ability to work confidently and independently.
