About the role

The largest healthcare system between St. Louis and Memphis is seeking a Primary Care Physician to join its growing outpatient network in Southeast Missouri. Opportunities are available in both a well-established rural health clinic and a multi-specialty outpatient practice. Located in Cape Girardeau, known as "The City of Roses," situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, with access to Lake Wappapello, Mark Twain National Forest, and the regional economic hub near Interstates 55 and 57, offering convenient travel and a family‑friendly community with affordable housing, vibrant downtown, and recreational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Join either an established rural health clinic or an expanding multi‑specialty outpatient practice
• Work in profitable and established clinics serving a broad regional patient population
• Collaborate with existing teams that include Primary Care physicians, APPs, Pediatricians, Behavioral Health providers, and multiple subspecialists
• Participate in established specialist outreach services including Cardiology, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, and Podiatry
• Maintain an outpatient‑only practice model
• See an average volume of 20‑25 patients per day

• Base salary $350,000 + RVU
• 5 weeks PTO
• 5 days CME time + $5,000 for CME

Pay

Pay rate: $320,000.00 – $350,000.00 (base salary range)

Schedule

• 4.5‑day work week with dedicated administrative time
• Phone‑only call rotation of approximately 1:8
