Primary Care Assistant MA/LPN - El Dorado Springs - FT

About the Role

The Primary Care Nurse/MA provides patient triage, identifies abnormal symptoms, notifies physicians, and assists with treatment following established protocols. They manage EPIC in-basket communications, including test results and medication requests, and input orders to support the clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Perform triage and document patient symptoms
• Communicate with providers regarding patient care
• Manage electronic messages (e.g., test results, medication requests)
• Input orders to support clinical workflows
• Assist in ensuring quality patient care

Requirements

For Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs):

• Diploma in Practical Nursing
• Current licensure as an LPN
• 2-3 years of experience preferred
• Certifications such as BLS and IV within specified timeframes

For Medical Assistants (MAs):

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
• At least one year of patient care or medical office experience
• Attendance at clinic training is required
