About the role

Join us as a Primary Care Provider (Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) at our clinic off I-35 in San Marcos, TX 78666. This is a full-time, in-clinic position where you'll transform healthcare by providing exceptional primary care through a streamlined direct care process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional primary care to a panel of patients with support from your Medical Assistant.
  • Perform a variety of in-clinic procedures including I&Ds, suturing/removals, skin biopsies, and other primary care-related procedures.
  • Communicate with patients via phone, text, and email.
  • Diagnose and manage chronic diseases with autonomy and a limited patient panel.
  • Determine and implement care plans that lead to patient wholeness and health.
  • Coordinate tasks with your team and Medical Assistant to ensure timely patient attention.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to focus on patient care.
  • Use a personal cell phone for 24/7/365 member access (via Twilio, your number will not be shared).

Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered Texas licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) with NCCPA certification, or Texas licensure as an APRN-FNP with Nurse Practitioner Board Certification.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-grad experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred).
  • Experience conducting procedures such as I&Ds, suturing, suture removal, skin biopsies, IVs, women’s health, and men’s health.
  • Family practice and/or primary care experience.
  • Experience managing care for patients of all ages.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and scheduling software.
  • Active and unrestricted DEA or ability to obtain.
  • Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships with clients.
