What You'll Be Doing
- Lead category deep dives to evaluate pricing, promotional effectiveness, and category performance, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Partner with merchant teams and internal analysts to apply pricing frameworks, identify investment opportunities, and align category decisions with strategic pricing objectives.
- Develop and maintain category Golden Rules, including base price, promotional cadence, and vendor funding expectations.
- Support scenario planning and ongoing category monitoring to assess the impact of pricing and promotional decisions on AUR, margin, and competitive position.
- Present insights and recommendations to cross-functional partners and influence decisions through clear, commercially grounded communication.
- Contribute to annual reviews, testing strategies, and continuous improvement of pricing and promotional practices.
What You'll Bring With You
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in pricing, promotional analytics, category management, merchandising, buying, or a related retail or consumer goods role.
- Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel and experience with BI or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of retail pricing concepts such as AUR, margin, elasticity, and promotional lift.
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and influence cross-functional partners.
- Preferred: experience working with merchant teams, promotional planning tools, vendor funding discussions, or pricing and category strategy in a retail environment.
