Non-exempt position reporting directly to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.

Responsibilities

• Achieve assigned department’s sales targets by:
  • Reviewing department sales targets weekly with the store manager and supervisor
  • Maintaining target price per item
  • Using the price grid as a guideline in departments
• Supply the store with merchandise by sorting, hanging, and pricing donations for assigned departments
• Display merchandise in designated area(s) on the sales floor
• Maintain a sufficient quantity (according to performance standards) of merchandise daily in assigned departments
• Ensure the production department is clean and materials are stocked
• Adjust merchandise prices up or down to achieve maximum value when merchandise is not selling or is selling too quickly
• Keep the sales floor shoppable by ragging, balancing, and rotating seasonal merchandise
• Ensure an adequate supply of seasonal merchandise by recognizing seasonal items, placing them in storage boxes, and properly labeling the storage boxes
• Assist with customer service
• Perform other duties and special assignments as directed, including tasks outside the primary area of employment

Physical Demands

• Works inside in a production and retail environment
• Regularly required to speak, hear, stand, and move throughout the store
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds using upper body strength
• Constantly standing, bending, stooping, and occasionally walking
• Must be able to lift arms to shoulder height or above
• Must be able to push or pull clothing racks weighing up to 15 pounds
• May occasionally be exposed to dust from donations
