Preventive Case Aide

Job Description

In this role you will:

• function as an assistant to the Caseworker
• provide transportation for clients to medical appointments/Family Court or other appointments deemed necessary by the supervisor
• assist caseworkers with transporting of families
• supervise visitation between parent and child when such is required by the Orange County Department of Social Services
• perform a variety of clerical duties while at the job site.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have:
• Valid driver’s license is required
• have good communication skills and the ability to work with families from diverse cultures and backgrounds

Physical Characteristics

• Must be capable to sit or stand in front of a computer for long-periods of time
• Must be capable to move throughout work day and follow people served throughout community
• Work alongside co-workers within 3 feet
• Able to move in tight spaces
• Occasional lifting of >_25+ pounds

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM with Flexibility (40hrs)
