Prevention Specialist

This job was posted by https://www.kansasworks.com : For more information, please see: https://www.kansasworks.com/jobs/13674760 Essential Functions**\ Supports program development, implementation, reporting, and evaluation as necessary to meet funding requirements.\ Manages coordination and subject matter content during the development of meetings, training, events, and conferences.\ Tracks and manages components required for project reporting.\ Creates and promotes social media content and other virtual learning opportunities.\ Coordinates the Douglas County Youth Empowerment and Prevention (YEP) and school-based partnerships of YEP.\ Assists in the facilitation and coordination of Engage Douglas County meetings.\ Implements relevant prevention initiatives, including educating communities and youth to reduce the prevalence of substance misuse, as well as raise awareness of suicide prevention and mental health promotion.\ Provides training and technical assistance to community partners on substance misuse, suicide prevention, and mental health promotion.\ Supports other prevention projects as assigned in partnership with other prevention staff.
