Prevention Fire Cadet (Part-Time)
About the role
The City of Corona Fire Department is seeking motivated individuals to join our Fire Cadet program and gain hands-on experience in fire prevention.
Responsibilities
- Hazardous material inspection program support
- Fire prevention outreach and engagement
- Interdepartmental deliveries, and administrative support
- Training facility maintenance
- Logistic support for training exercises
Requirements
Must work a minimum of 18 hours a week Monday - Friday.
CURRENT VACANCIES ARE ONLY FOR FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent Resident Alien meeting the requirements of Government Code Section 1031 (A) and 1031.5.
- A valid Class C California driver's license and the ability to maintain insurability under the City's vehicle insurance policy.
- Current CPR certification at the "professional rescuer" or "healthcare provider" level.
