Position Responsibilities
- Check and fill fluid levels, service lube points and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Maintain service, repair, and maintenance records daily.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of service kits, lubes, oils, and other supplies.
- Cookordinate equipment service activities with production and maintenance team members.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on Fuel and Lube truck(s) as needed.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Services on construction equipment as needed and required.
- Repair damaged Auto Greasing system injection lines as needed on all heavy equipment.
- Troubleshoot greasing system problems and repair greasing systems as needed.
- Perform tasks from verbal/written instructions and communicate effectively with supervisor and fellow employees.
- Keep work area clean and orderly, including the weekly cleaning of the Fuel and Lube truck(s).
- Complete daily work assignments in a timely fashion.
- Be a leader of both safety and production for the team by ensuring compliance with all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Actively participate in morning safety meetings.
- Always maintain a preparedness to deploy spill kits in the event of a spill with fuel or other lubricant.
- Actively participate in the cleanup of any spills arising from your duties.
Required Education/Certification/Licensure
- High School or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years of technical field experience servicing heavy equipment and trucks.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record required to drive company vehicles CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement is required.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this role.
Required Experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to work early in the morning in the dark, utilizing only truck mounted and portable lights.
- Ability to type and operate an electronic tablet to effectively operate the Fuel Management System scanning and logging system.
- Ability to competently perform daily pre-shift safety inspection on a Class 8 truck with air brakes.
- Ability to safely operate the Fuel & Lube service truck at the proper speed on dirt roads with grades of up to 10% in dry, wet or snow conditions.
- Ability to drive a manual transmission semi-truck.
