About the role
The Case Manager is responsible for managing a caseload of defendants released on Pretrial Release. Duties include conducting interviews, preparing and submitting court ordered release documents, attending court hearings, and coordinating with residential treatment facilities.
Responsibilities
- Counsels and supervises defendants in adherence to release orders.
- Attends and testifies in court hearings.
- Coordinates placement and attendance at residential treatment facilities.
- Monitors and reports on defendant activity using electronic monitoring systems.
- Prepares and submits legal documents to judicial officials.
- Handles confidential information with discretion.
- Assists with transportation and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in criminal justice or a human services field and one year of experience in case management.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
- Preferred: Certification as a Pretrial Service Professional through NAPSA.
