Pressroom Lead

In this position you will lead pressroom operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely production of high‑quality products that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily pressroom operations to achieve production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Train and develop press operators and packers to ensure adherence to operational standards and best practices.
• Support machine setup, start‑up, troubleshooting, and production runs to maximize efficiency and product quality.
• Investigate equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures to reduce downtime.
• Ensure production crews have the necessary materials, resources, and information to perform their work effectively.
• Review production reporting for accuracy and communicate key operational updates to team members and supervisors.
• Participate in and lead LEAN manufacturing, safety, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, quality standards, housekeeping expectations, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Requirements

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of manufacturing machine operating experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to train and support team members.
• Basic computer skills and ability to work with machine controls.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to perform job duties safely with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous lead operator or manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience with LEAN manufacturing or continuous improvement programs.
• Printing, packaging, labeling, or converting industry experience.
