PRESS TECHNICIAN - Core Plant
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and problem solve forming issues at the press
- Manage die/gauge storage area
- Aids in implementing continuous improvements and is a valuable link in the cell help chain
- Check overall quality of core jobs
- Enter data into computer if applicable
- Good understanding of PLC controlled presses
- Good understanding of forming ceramics
- Aids in production planning in press/die compatibility
- Review dies to verify conformity/functionality prior to setup
- Notify supervisor or injection specialist of any die problems that may affect schedule
- Troubleshoot forming issues
- Assist in training and development of new set up techs and press operators
- Review and update coating inspection records
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Injection molding or forming experience
- Mechanical aptitude as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel a plus
