Press Room Associate - 2nd Shift

About the Role

Parker Lord’s Dayton facility manufactures passive vibration mounts for commercial and military aerospace applications. The facility specializes in machining and rubber-to-metal bonding, holding multiple industry and aerospace customer certifications, including AS9100 and NADCAP.

As a Press Room Associate on the 2nd shift, you will perform various manufacturing processes to produce aerospace components to required specifications.

Responsibilities

• Follow all manufacturing instructions and print requirements for the production of components in your assigned area.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation to ensure quality conformance and proper movement and control of product.
• Perform all quality-related inspection requirements.
• Ensure all equipment and materials used comply with procedures.
• Suggest and participate in process improvements and scrap reduction activities.
• Perform all required preventative maintenance activities.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Handle other assignments as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous aerospace manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Able to communicate effectively with management and coworkers to promote teamwork.
• Flexible with work and job assignments; willing to perform any function as needed.
• Dependable and available to work overtime when required.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to carry/lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must be able to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, and use fingers and hands to handle tools, parts, and equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or other appropriate status is required for this position due to U.S. import and export regulations.
