Press Operators and Refinish Technicians

About The Role

Cardinal Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Press Operators and Refinish Technicians for a leading fiberglass manufacturer in Grand Ledge, MI. These are hands-on manufacturing positions in a fast-paced production environment. Team members will manufacture and finish fiberglass products using production equipment, hand tools, and power tools while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. Candidates should be comfortable working around fiberglass and resin odors, performing repetitive physical work, and following detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

Press Operator

• Prepare molds and place fiberglass materials according to production specifications.
• Mix and pour resin while operating hydraulic presses.
• Inspect finished parts and complete quality documentation.
• Maintain molds, equipment, and work areas.
• Follow all safety and production procedures.

Refinish Technician

• Sand, grind, trim, and repair fiberglass parts.
• Use hand tools and power tools to remove defects and finish products.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Prepare finished products for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools preferred.
• Comfortable working around fiberglass and resin odors.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly (team lifting required for heavier items).
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow written work instructions and safety procedures.

Pay

Starting at $17.27/hour | Increases to $18.20/hour after successful hire-in (480 hours).

Schedule

1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (10-hour shifts) with occasional overtime.
