Press Operator Trainee (83671)

Responsibilities

• Check Gill Process Specifications against work order instructions
• Assist Loads and unloads press
• Understand the basic function of the press
• Assists in breaking loads apart after pressing
• Assists in inspecting panels for correctness
• Aids in recording material usages and pressing conditions
• Aids in setting up pressing conditions per GPS instructions
• Aids the operator while learning to operate press 2, 6, 11, 15, 30, and 31
• Checks panel/liner thickness using a micrometer
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Utilizes hand and power tools as needed
• Reports any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Operator, Lead or Supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• One or two years of related experience and/or training a plus
• Acceptable Spirometry Test results (full/half respirator use)
• Available to work any shift, over-time and weekends
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to bend, twist, and stand for 8-10 hours a day in extreme heat or cold
• Able to use hands for simple and power grasping as well as push/pull and fine manipulation
• Able to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
