Press Operator Full Time (night shift)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Head Pressman and Production Manager to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Safely operate and meticulously maintain the press and associated equipment and systems.
• Bend and proficiently install plates on the press, ensuring accuracy and alignment.
• Prepare paper for the press, seamlessly creating roll splices without compromising the continuous web.
• Bundle and stack printed products on skids, occasionally utilizing strapping equipment, and preparing materials for mailing as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area by diligently sweeping, mopping, and disposing of trash daily.
• Conduct press maintenance tasks as required, either proactively or as directed.
• Maintain a sense of urgency when addressing press waste and making necessary color adjustments.
• Carefully review the job ticket for each assigned task to execute jobs accurately and in accordance with specifications.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a press trainee or similar role (preferred).
• Valid clamp truck certification.
• Mechanical aptitude for efficient equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Dependable and punctual, consistently meeting work commitments and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and support colleagues.
• Physical capacity to lift 40-50 pounds as part of material handling responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation.
• Successful completion of a drug screen as part of the hiring process.
