Responsibilities
- Set and maintain color and machine capability production standards.
- Perform tasks associated with the preparation, operation, housekeeping and minor maintenance of the press and printing work area.
- Inspect completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to work order specifications, and adjust machinery as necessary to correct variations.
- Perform tasks associated with the movement of raw, in process and finished material. Use material handling machinery, tools as required.
- Keep daily time and materials usage reports and records information in SAP and PEAK.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks associated with production. Disassemble machines to maintain, repair, or replace broken or worn parts, using hand tools.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Work eight to twelve-hour shifts, including overtime.
- Operate and troubleshoot printing press equipment.
- Clear jams, prep machine, including preparing make ready equipment to meet customer specifications.
- Adjust machine controls to correct variations and verify quality of finished product to look for defects in print quality, such as register, print-to-cut, and other such defects as cut scores, bent flaps and curl.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED
- Basic computer skills, data entry
- Visual Color Discrimination, the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of colors
