Press Operator (3rd Shift)

About the role

Taylor Corporation is seeking a Press Operator to join their team in Tampa, FL. The role offers immediate compensation through Taylor's new "DailyPay" program.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed instructions from job orders accurately and precisely.
• Identify possible errors or problems and take prompt action to correct them.
• Set up and adjust the press for job runs to meet specifications.
• Monitor product quality during job runs and check work against specifications. Take action to correct any quality issues.
• Monitor equipment during job runs, remain alert to mechanical issues, and refer problems to maintenance as needed.
• Start and run jobs in alignment with the production schedule.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and upkeep.
• Meet standards for output, waste, and spoilage.

Requirements

• Mechanical and technical skills or aptitude.
• Strong math skills, including the ability to read a ruler and calculate label dimensions for stock optimization.
• Able to operate equipment and build proficiency as measured through production and quality standards.
• Able to understand verbal and written instructions for work orders.
• Able to communicate professionally.
• Strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Frequently required to move inside the facility.
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds, including lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying.

Skills

We would also prefer candidates who have experience in a production-related environment.
