About the Role

Responsible for inspection, installation, and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, install, and repair machines used in production, tool room, and maintenance machining areas.
  • Build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs.
  • Occasionally arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends to meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests.
  • Update and relay pertinent information to the oncoming shift.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills to perform the job effectively, including rotating through all job responsibilities.
  • Use feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
  • Maintain positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.
  • Flex within work areas to support plant flow and work with a sense of urgency to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
  • Minimum 5 years of Machine Repair experience required; 10 years preferred.
  • Robotics training preferred.
  • Press-specific training preferred.
  • Journeyman card or Machine Repair Journeyman Apprenticeship Completion or equivalent education/contact hours preferred.
  • Valid forklift license issued by Challenge Manufacturing.
  • Valid Scissor Lift license issued by Challenge Manufacturing.
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours per day, including Saturday and Sunday.

Schedule

This is a Y Shift position: 5 AM – 5 PM, Friday through Sunday.
