Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines for production runs
- Interpret blueprints, bend deductions, and job specifications
- Utilize CNC press brake controllers to program, modify, optimize bend sequences
- Select proper tooling and machine setups
- Perform bending, forming, and straightening operations
- Inspect finished parts and verify accuracy
- Record production data and maintain workflow
- Operate an overhead crane to move material
- Perform operator maintenance
- Follow safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of press brake setup and operation experience
- Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Experience with CNC press brakes like Ermak, Pacific, Niagara, Cincinnati
- Familiarity with a CNC controller and programs
- Knowledge of tooling, material types, and forming techniques
- Ability to work with overhead cranes and handle large components
- Strong attention to detail and quality
