Press Brake Operator - 3rd Shift- Staring at $19 Hourly

Job Summary

The press brake operator is responsible for processing quality products safely and efficiently by setting up, operating, and performing simple programming of a press brake. Starting at $19 hourly, 3rd Shift Differential $1.50. 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m., with availability to work overtime as needed.

Equipment Preparation

• Prepare production equipment for operation by making necessary setup adjustments and assisting with equipment changeovers.

Quality Assurance

• Maintain quality standards and customer specifications by conducting first-piece and in-process inspections, completing production control charts, analyzing data, and making equipment adjustments as needed.

Training

• Assist in training others for production job responsibilities by demonstrating operational procedures and best practices.

Machine Operation

• Solve production process problems, make equipment adjustments, and report production and quality data. Communicate decisions made and refer questions to the supervisor as necessary.

Operational Maintenance

• Follow policies and procedures to maintain production operations, including managing equipment, raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods. Report needed changes.

Preventative Maintenance

• Ensure the proper operation of equipment by adhering to preventative maintenance policies and procedures. Report needed changes and repairs.

Safety and Cleanliness

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Team Collaboration

• Contribute to the team effort by achieving related results, cooperating with team members, and accepting re-assignments as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Instruction Following: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
• Reading and Comprehension: Must be able to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Basic Math: Ability to understand and use basic math for measurements and calculations.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Measuring Devices: Knowledge of using measuring devices.

• Work Orders: Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history.
