Presort Associate 1

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Direct Hire Full Time Presort Associate 1 at our US TX Arlington Facility.

About the role

You will be trained to prepare outgoing permit and metered mail, ensuring proper date, postage, and barcode quality before production. This role involves monitoring mail and package quality, troubleshooting machine jams, and understanding USPS labels and presort requirements.

• Communicate errors and recognize bad barcodes in mail/packages
• Troubleshoot and remove mail piece jams from machines
• Monitor quality before processing and dispatching
• Understand zip code USPS labels and match bin numbers to tray numbers
• Follow QMS practices to verify date, weight, thickness, barcodes, presort slug, indicia, postage rate, and class of mail
• Assist with inbound and outbound processing of mail/packages
• Ensure mail/packages meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Maintain a clean work area to prevent injuries and hazards
• Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

• Ability to be dependable and reliable
• Knowledge of the presort mailing business is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization and customer service skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend for 80% of the time with or without accommodation
• Basic understanding of English to follow safety and operational directions
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with little or no advance notice
• Must have current work experience at Pitney Bowes as a Warehouse Mail Sorter

Pay

$17.50 per hour, with an additional $1.00/hour for 2nd shift.
