About the role
The University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI) invites applicants for the University of Michigan Presidential Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (PPFP). Faculty at UMSI provide a nurturing and productive postdoctoral experience for Presidential Postdoctoral Fellows.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the core values of the University of Michigan and equal opportunity in higher education
- Bring a critical perspective to research and undergraduate teaching based on non-traditional educational background or understanding of underrepresented groups
- Engage in interdisciplinary research
- Teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels
Requirements
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in an area such as social or information science disciplines, computing, engineering, science and technology studies, anthropology, history, media studies, communication, or a related field.
Qualifications
A strong interest in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels and a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research are required.
