President's Chief of Staff
Job Summary/Basic Function
The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as senior advisor and principal representative of the President of Weber State University, acting under the President's direction to advance institutional priorities across the University. This high-impact role functions as an executive partner, helping translate the President's vision effectively across all divisions of the institution.
Job Duties Of The Position Include The Following
- Strategic Plan Implementation & Institutional Alignment
- Executive Cabinet Integration & Performance Management
- Executive Voice & External Communications Strategy
- Issue Triage & Conflict Resolution
- Oversight of Presidential Initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Higher Education Leadership, Public Administration, Business, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive leadership or strategic initiatives experience in a complex organizational setting
PREFERRED Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in a relevant field
- Demonstrated experience translating a strategic vision into actionable plans with measurable KPIs
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Experience facilitating a significant strategic shift, accreditation cycle, or leadership transition at a higher education institution

The annual salary for this position starts at $170,000 and may go up from there depending on candidate qualifications. The position comes with a generous benefits package. Physical Requirements of this position:
Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.
Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision:
Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.
