WESTMARC, the Western Maricopa Coalition, is seeking an engaging, relationship-driven President & CEO to champion one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions – the West Valley of the Greater Phoenix Area in Arizona.
About the Role
The ideal candidate is a strategic communicator and skilled consensus-builder with sound business acumen, financial stewardship, and experience in public-private partnerships, business development, advocacy, or related sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee seven full-time staff and a $1.5 million budget
- Spearhead programs and events that bring people together
- Increase member value through strategic initiatives
- Amplify the West Valley’s story with energy, credibility, and purpose
- Support WESTMARC’s members and serve as a key partner in the region’s growth
Requirements
- Strategic communication skills
- Consensus-building abilities
- Sound business acumen
- Financial stewardship
- Experience in public-private partnerships, business development, advocacy, or related sectors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., economics, public policy, business administration)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles within economic development, public-private partnerships, or related fields
- Proven track record of successful program management and event coordination
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
