Presenter Teacher Performer

About the role

California Weekly Explorer is seeking a full-time Presenter to bring history to life for students. This role involves making history engaging and interactive, guiding students through their grade-level curriculum and hosting a friendly competition.

Job Responsibilities

• Leverage intensive training to memorize and present three scripts in an engaging manner, up to two presentations a day, each lasting 2 1/2 hours.
• Interact with students in classrooms ranging from 36 to accommodate students with disabilities.
• Transport and set up/display equipment each day, ensuring a one-person show.
• Travel to different schools within a large calendar area, covering approximately 3-5 weekly trips a school year.
• Manage equipment storage and utilize an online Company calendar system for daily itineraries.
• Complete monthly expense reports and evaluations of schools.
• Attend staff meetings and travel to Southern California office for training.

Requirements

• Strong social, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Experience in teaching or performance, with classroom management and improvisation skills.
• Physical, mental, and emotional health to handle the demanding schedule.
• A reliable car to transport equipment and a valid driver’s license.
• A background check.

Perks

• Salary position, $4,200/month (after completion of training).
• Paid training rate of $140/day for initial 10-12 days and subsequent 6-8 days.
