Prescription Renewal Pharmacy Technician
Job Overview
The Prescription Renewal Pharmacy Technician supports pharmacists at the Centralized Prescription Renewal site by processing medication-related requests through electronic refills, phone calls, faxes, and other forms of communication. The Technician also assists in submitting medication prior authorizations and communicates directly with patients, pharmacies, and insurance plans. Additionally, the Technician promotes AltaMed's pharmacy services to improve medication adherence and patient outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- California Board of Pharmacy Technician License, in good standing
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a CA Board pharmacy technician or related pharmacy experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- A valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines
- Reliable transportation
Compensation
$25.00 - $29.32 hourly. Compensation is considered by various factors, including budget, experience, skills, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. The range is subject to change.
