About This Role

This Preschool Teachers, Pre-K Bilingual (English- Spanish) opportunity at Early Steps Bilingual Preschools, Inc. serves Preschool (3–5) and requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Based in Vienna, VA, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

What You'll Do

• The ideal candidate will possess strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English, as well as superior classroom management skills.
• He/She will also have the ability to solve problems and practice positive behavior guidance, produce weekly lesson plans and reporting, and provide active supervision at all times.
• A self-disciplined and dependable team player, the Lead Teacher must be able to follow school policies and procedures and adapt to the company's needs.
• Additional responsibilities will vary by classroom/age, and the Lead Teacher must be able to physically lift up to 35 pounds, on a daily basis and at any given time during the workday to carry and care for the children if necessary.
• The ideal candidate will also be able to pass a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services background check, a TB test, drug screening and be willing to obtain CPR, First Aid, and MAT Certifications within 30 days of employment.
• Teachers must be able to work from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Requirements

• Prior classroom experience (At least one year of teaching experience)
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
• Must have Vaccination for Covid-19 and immunizations
• Fluent in Spanish and basic conversational English
