Preschool Teacher
Pay: $23.751 per hour
Part-time, Year-Round, Not Benefit Eligible

Essential Position Functions

• Develop, plan, implement quality play-based program curriculum for preschool aged children
• Focus on creative indoor and outdoor play-based learning activities
• Provide a safe, wholesome, caring and comfortable environment for child participants
• Communicate with parents/caregivers and supervisors
• Adapt and independently problem-solve unanticipated situations
• Track and report program related records
• Write weekly emails, first day letters, theme calendars and participant evaluations
• Provide work direction to other preschool team members
• Request supplies and materials as needed
• Administer basic first aid as needed – training provided!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or nearly completed degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Two (2) years of experience in teaching or assisting a teacher or equivalent work in a similar position

Things that may help you be successful in this role

• Previous teaching experience in a preschool setting
• Experience in recreation preschool programs
• CPR and First Aid Certifications
• Valid driver’s license
• Completed concession training (Training is available on-line at https://www.nays.org/resources/more/free-concussion-training/)
